Drainage

For the drainage is a considerable measure taken for the wall.
This will prevent any water from freezing
and causing a headache later on. Depending on the type of soil that you have
either sand or clay there will be water.
It is wise to put drainage on the taller walls behind and front when possible.
The shorter walls could use it on the
back side. About a foot away put the perforated or bristol pipe then cover
over with the 57 stone. Then
cover with limestone. But be careful not to crunch the pipe.
You
can find any of the kinds of pipe at your local hardware store(Home Depot,
Lowe's, DIY).
Dig a trench 30" wide along the planned path of the new
wall. The depth of the trench will be 12" deep, 6" for
base, 6" for brick embedment. The ground at the bottom of the trench
should be stable and compacted with
a tamper. Lay in a 6" base of compacted gravel for
leveling the base course
In the picture here shows where the pipe goes in the back with a circle. With the pipes make sure the holes are down.
